Expat arrested for attempted murder

Royal Oman Police (ROP) : Police arrested an expat on charges of attempted murder in Dhofar.

An official ROP source revealed, "The Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation, led by Dhofar police in cooperation with the Thumrait police station, arrested a person on charges of attempted murder with a white weapon (knife)."

The source said: "An Asian national was found stabbed in his body at his residence in ِAwqad. After investigation, the accused was arrested and was found to have tried to kill the victim for his money."

The accused was referred to the judicial authorities for further interrogation.
