Nationwide Royal Oman Police e-visa campaign

The Royal Oman Police has launched a nationwide awareness campaign to educate businesses on the benefits of registering their workers through their e-visa system.

The campaign is being carried out in collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), and has so far been spread to seven wilayats, with Khasab, the administrative capital of the Musandam Governorate, being the latest. The others are Sur, Ibra, Nizwa, Salalah, Rustaq and Muscat.

According to ROP officials, the work e-visa will be launched soon. “The e-visa department has made a presentation at the Omani Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Khasab, Musandam, as part of its continuing introductory campaign for the procedure to register through the new e-visa system,” ROP said in a statement.

ROP said in a statement, “In preparation to activate e-visa, ROP has intensified its campaigns and workshops to highlight the new system to companies in a number of wilayats,” added the office. “The work e-visa system has been developed by the ROP to keep up with the e-government’s vision. It seeks to provide a vision different from the traditional visa system.”

 

There is no need for those who apply for the e-visa to visit service outlets at the Directorate General of Passports and Residence. To sign up for an e-visa, visit www.evisa.rop.gov.om

“In order to activate the work visa electronically, campaigns for registration through the system are intensifying and beginning in Nizwa,” added the office. “An introductory workshop on the procedures for registering companies and institutions was at held at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ibra.”

“We ran an introductory workshop for the registration of institutions and companies in the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Wilayat of Sur and The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Al Wusta hosted a similar workshop”.
