9. Marvel at the Beauty of Jabrin Castle

Do not miss visiting the visually spectacular Jabrin Castle. Travelers find it conveniently located about forty kilometers from Nizwa. Imam Bil'arab bin Sultan built this architectural gem in the late 1670s. Unlike Nizwa Fort, Jabrin served primarily as a peacetime palace. It functioned famously as a center for astrology and Islamic law. The castle showcases some of the absolute finest traditional Omani architecture. Look up constantly to admire the breathtaking, intricately painted wooden ceilings. Delicate, flowing Arabic calligraphy beautifully decorates the interior walls and archways.
