Kareena and Karisma Kapoor’s mother Babita made her debut in film ‘Raaz’, opposite Rajesh Khanna. From 1966 to 1973, she starred in nineteen films as the lead heroine, including the box office successes ‘Dus Lakh’, ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi’, ‘Farz’, ‘Kismat’, ‘Ek Shriman Ek Shrimati’, ‘Doli’, ‘Tumse Achcha Kaun Hai’, ‘Kal Aaj Aur Kal’, ‘Jeet’, ‘Banphool’ and ‘Ek Hasina Do Diwane’. Following her marriage to actor Randhir Kapoor in 1971 post that she decided to leave her film career. Babita was born to actor Hari Shivdasani, who was of a Hindu Sindhi family which had migrated from Pakistan to India after the partition and a British Christian mother. The famous actress and her contemporary Sadhana is her first cousin.

The actress married Shakeel Ladak, a businessman from the construction industry in 2009. Amrita Arora made her Bollywood debut in 2002 opposite Fardeen Khan in the film, ‘Kitne Door Kitne Paas’, which was not successful at the box office. Her first successful film was the action comedy, ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’. A series of flops followed, among them the controversial ‘Girlfriend’ (2004), about a lesbian relationship, in which she appeared opposite Isha Koppikar. In 2007, she made a special appearance in Farah Khan's film, ‘Om Shanti Om’ in the song ‘Deewangi Deewangi’ with her sister and Arbaaz Khan. In the same year, she appeared in Speed and Red: The Dark Side, also starring Aftab Shivdasani and Celina Jaitley. The films received mixed reviews at the box office. In 2009, her releases were ‘Deha’ and ‘Team the Force’. The same year, she appeared in a supporting role in ‘Kambakth Ishq’, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. She was also a part of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Returns’ film.
