5 Hollywood Stars That Left Their Wives For Younger Women

It’s not unusual for men to go through a mid-life crisis in their 40s or 50s. In an effort to feel younger, many men choose to update their wardrobe, get hair plugs or buy a sports car when they hit middle age. In Hollywood, however, nothing screams mid-life crisis like a man who suddenly decides to trade his faithful companion for a younger model. Here are five stars who’ve left their wives for much younger women.

1. Ewan McGregor

Ewan McGregor, the acclaimed Scottish actor, always seemed like such a nice guy. With a permanent smile on his face, he was prone to gush about his wife and daughters in interviews. Yet recently, the Trainspotting actor showed a new side of himself when he left his wife of 22 years, Eve Mavrakis, for his Fargo co-star, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who is 14 years his junior. The 46-year-old dad of four met the actress last year prior to filming the series. Winstead, who is said to have had a crush on the actor for years, was invited to the McGregor family home for dinner after the two were cast in Fargo. Little did Mavrakis know that a year later, her husband would leave her for the 10 Cloverfield Lane actress to the dismay of many fans.

 

2. Johnny Depp

Though not legally married, Johnny Depp and French singer Vanessa Paradis were one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples, having spent 14 years together. The relationship, which resulted in two children, daughter Lily-Rose and son Jack, came to a screeching halt when the Edward Scissorhands star got friendly with actress Amber Heard while filming The Rum Diary in 2011. The following year, Depp left his 40-year-old companion for the 26-year-old blonde bombshell. The two ended up marrying in February 2015, only to end up in a bitter divorce a year later in which Heard accused Depp of physically abusing her.
