A DISTRAUGHT dad shot himself dead live on Facebook because his daughter was set to get married without his permission.

The shocking video saw Ayhan Uzun, 54, launch a furious tirade about his family to camera before unloading a pistol pressed to his temple.

As he counts down to three, the father says: "Goodbye, I am leaving, take good care of yourselves."

Earlier in the rant, he described how he only learned of his daughter’s engagement in a telephone call.

Uzan, from the Turkish city of Kayseri, added: “On my daughter’s happiest day (her engagement), they called me and said to me: 'Father come have a treat.'

"Nobody asked about me. Nobody treated me like a man. My father-in-law took my place and without having a right he approved my daughter’s wedding.

"Maybe some of you will call this a show. I do not want anybody to go through this thing that I am going through.
