Pakistani Guard Faces Life Imprisonment after Brutally Murdering Austrian-Filipina Waitress
A 25-year-old Austrian-Filipino bar waitress had been brutally killed by a Pakistani security guard who was under the influence of drugs. The mother of the victim then rejoices as they had received the justice for her daughter’s death after the High Court in Hong Kong gave a life sentence to the suspect.
On January 31, 2018, a life sentence was imposed by a High Court Judge to a Pakistani security guard named SafdarHusnain, 28 years of age after he was found guilty for murdering Andrea Bayr, 2 years ago at a construction site in TuenMun in Hong Kong.
Apparently, Bayr acquired several wounds including one which Husnain inflicted with the use of an electric drill on her face. Judge Kevin Zervosthen claimed what he did was a brutal and horrific killing.

On the other hand, the suspect said he was unaware of what he did because he was under the state of drug-induced psychosis when he committed the crime. He claimed the reason why he killed Bayr was she had transformed into a witch who tried to killed him. However, the jury was in disbelief to his testimony and had sided on the testimony of Haresh Khan, a friend of Husnain who was at the scene at the time the crime was committed.
According to Khan, he was at the guardhouse at the night of March 28 and 29 when he went to the toilet around 2am. On his way back, he heard shouting from the container nearby so he rushed to look what it was. He then found Husnain who was hitting the bloodied Bayr. He said he tried to stop Husnainbut he failed so he ran out of the place and seek help from the police.
