740 Citizens Return Home Over Past Two Days

As many as 740 Omanis constituting the last batch of those wishing to be repatriated from other countries in view of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic outbreak—returned to the Sultanate over the past two days, bringing to 3,746 the number of such citizens.

     The repatriation of citizens was facilitated in implementation of decisions of the Supreme Committee tasked to study scopes for tackling the developments of the global pandemic and alleviating its impacts.

     The number of those who returned includes students studying abroad, but some Omanis chose to stay abroad when flights were sent to bring them back along with their compatriots.

    The flights were organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with other departments in the Sultanate.
