The Chinese government pulled out all the stops in Beijing today. They hosted a massive official reception ceremony for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. The grand event took place at the famous Great Hall of the People. The Chinese military fired a massive 21-gun salute to honour the visiting Sultan. This loud military display signifies deep respect between the two nations. President Xi Jinping personally led the official welcoming party. He warmly received the Sultan as a dear guest to his powerful country. He wished the Omani delegation a highly successful state visit.
