Companies Partner to Finance a New Investment Building for the Al Rahma Association

A Step Toward Sustainable Community Support

Sohar Aluminium and the Oman India Fertiliser Company signed a vital agreement today. They partnered with the Al Rahma Association for Motherhood and Childhood Care. The companies will support the financing of a new commercial investment building. This project falls under the association’s wonderful “Al Khair Wafi” initiative. The agreement reflects the growing role of the private sector in building development partnerships. His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Shamsi sponsored the signing ceremony. He serves as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development.

Creating a Reliable Financial Resource

The agreement aims to establish a commercial building that generates steady income. The proceeds from this building will go entirely to the Al Rahma Association. This provides a sustainable financial resource to support crucial orphan sponsorship programs. It will also fund various educational, rehabilitation, and vital social programs. This approach enhances the association’s ability to plan its services long-term. They will rely less on immediate, fluctuating public donations in the future. This strategy ensures consistent care for vulnerable members of the community.

Details of the New Investment Building

The new building will sit on a spacious area of 5,492 square meters. The planned structure consists of six floors designed for mixed use. It will contain a variety of commercial, residential, and dedicated office units. The project aims to contribute to serving more than 1,100 orphans. These children reside in various governorates across the Sultanate of Oman. The steady income will help the association respond to the changing needs of beneficiaries. It represents a modern and highly effective approach to charitable work.

Shifting the Concept of Social Responsibility

Her Excellency Sanaa bint Abdulrahman Al-Khanjari praised the generous corporate contributions. She serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the association. The project embodies a shift from immediate support to sustainable social investment. Engineer Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Masoudi, CEO of Sohar Aluminium, also spoke at the event. He emphasized the importance of creating partnerships capable of making a sustainable impact. Saeed bin Salem Al Salmi from OMIFCO echoed these positive sentiments. The initiative originally began as a voluntary effort by female entrepreneurs.
