Ministry of Economy Hosts Seminar on Smart Regulatory Systems

The Ministry of Economy organized an important national seminar today. The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit represented the ministry.

The University of Sharqiyah also co-hosted this exciting educational event. The seminar focused on proactive monitoring systems for regulatory bodies.

Minister of Economy Dr. Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri sponsored the event.

Towards a Smart Regulatory System

Organizers chose an inspiring slogan for the event this year. They titled it "Towards a smart regulatory system that enhances good governance."

Many government, private, and academic specialists attended the massive gathering. The seminar helps regulatory bodies adopt advanced proactive monitoring methods.

These new methods strengthen preventive oversight and reduce future risks. They also preserve national resources and consolidate transparency and integrity.

This modern approach aligns perfectly with the Oman 2040 vision.

Embracing Artificial Intelligence and Big Data

Dr. Munther bin Hilal Al Busaidi delivered a powerful speech. He heads the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.

He affirmed that national initiatives support developing advanced regulatory systems. Regulatory bodies will use artificial intelligence and big data analysis.

They will activate early warning systems and link databases electronically. He explained how proactive oversight predicts potential risks and challenges.

Advanced analytical tools help officials detect violations very early.

Interactive Discussion Sessions

The symposium featured three main interactive discussion sessions. The first session reviewed the conceptual framework for proactive monitoring.

Experts discussed organizational frameworks and the shift toward smart regulation. The second session explored national and international regulatory experiences.

Speakers highlighted successful models from the Oman Investment Authority. They also praised the Financial Services Authority for its incredible work.

The third session examined specific tools and techniques for monitoring. Participants discussed how modern technology quickly detects early risk indicators.

The seminar targets decision-makers, policymakers, and internal auditing professionals. Risk management teams and compliance officers also benefit from it.

The symposium will produce a set of practical recommendations soon. These guidelines will enhance the national proactive monitoring system.
