Oman has formally opened another 191km turnpike for traffic, running from the Wilayat of Bidbid through to the Wilayat Al Kamil wa Al Wafi, it has been reported. 

Known as the Al Sharqiya Expressway, the street will be under a trial for a quarter of a year, with just light vehicles permitted to utilize it during this period. 

Following the trial, substantial vehicles will be permitted to utilize the interstate, aside from those stacked with petrochemicals and hazardous materials, an Oman News Agency report said.
