One citizen dead, many injured in Saudi Arabia accident

Muscat: One citizen has died while several others were injured in an accident that took place in Saudi Arabia, officials announced.

The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) had to airlift the family and bring them back to the Sultanate. 

According to Oman’s State news agency, the Royal Air Force of Oman carried out a special flight to Saudi Arabia this morning. RAFO’s transport aircraft was carrying medical personnel on board and was equipped with the necessary medical equipment in coordination with the Ministry of Health.

The body of the deceased was transported and the injured individuals were taken to the Armed Forces Hospital and the police hospital to receive necessary treatment.

The conductIng of such flights comes within the framework of the roles and humanitarian tasks provided by the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the Sultan along with other institutions and authorities, to all citizens and residents in the Sultanate.
