Saudi non-oil exports

Saudi Arabia Reports 22.1 Percent Rise in Non-Oil Exports

Saudi Arabia reported a massive 22.1 percent rise in non-oil exports this January. Total non-oil shipments reached 32.57 billion Saudi riyals.

Trade with the UAE, India, and China drove this impressive economic growth.

Key Trade Partners Drive Success

The General Authority for Statistics released a detailed new trade report recently. Saudi exporters shipped 11.59 billion riyals in goods to the UAE.

India bought 2.68 billion riyals of Saudi products. China purchased 2.42 billion riyals in non-oil goods during January.

This growth highlights Saudi Arabia's strong push to expand its diverse economy. Rising industrial shipments help balance the volatile global crude oil markets.

The Kingdom continues positioning itself as a major regional export hub. Better logistics capacity strengthens trade links across Asia and the Middle East.

Machinery and Chemicals Lead the Market

Machinery and electrical equipment led the national non-oil export basket. These specific goods made up 24.2 percent of all outbound shipments.

Chemical industry products followed closely at 19.2 percent. Overall merchandise exports hit 98.71 billion riyals this past January.

China served as the top destination for total Saudi merchandise. The UAE and India followed closely behind China in total trade volume.

Import Rates Also Show Steady Increases

Saudi Arabia imported 81.41 billion riyals worth of goods in January. Imports increased by 6.5 percent compared to the previous year.

China supplied 31 percent of these total inbound shipments. The UAE and the United States also supplied major imports to the Kingdom.
