Air Arabia gets approval for eight weekly flights to Sohar

After approving two additional flights to Sohar from Sharjah for Air Arabia earlier this week, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) on Wednesday gave the nod for two more flights on the Sohar-Sharjah route.

The approval now gives Air Arabia the right to fly eight times a week to Sohar. “The authority has today [Wednesday] approved the addition of two flights between Sohar and Sharjah, taking the number of weekly flights to eight,” it stated.

The airline currently operates four flights a week on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and is yet to announce the operation of additional flights.

Air Arabia started its Sohar operations on July 9, making Sohar the third destination in Oman after Muscat and Salalah.

Qatar Airways too announced on Wednesday that it is ready to start its Sohar operations from August 8.
