Landslide shuts down Muscat-Quriyat road

A landslide on the Muscat-Quriyat road has closed traffic and the police are calling on drivers to exercise caution and take alternative lanes.

Royal Oman Police said in a statement: "Currently, for users of the Muscat-Quriyat Road, a landslide has occurred in the Al-Fulaij area and traffic is interrupted on the main road towards Quriyat. Please be careful and follow the instructions of the police officers present at the site for the sake of public safety."

"Traffic will be diverted towards Quriyat from the Swaqm exit to the old Aqaba Road, please follow the instructions," the police said.
