The Sultan commissioned it to heavily support regional border town infrastructure development. He wanted a grand, highly welcoming structure for the entire growing governorate. It officially ranks as the absolute largest mosque in the Al Buraimi area. A large central dome commands immediate visual attention from miles afar.
