Oman Athletics Team Wins Four Medals at the Gulf Games
Our national teams continued their brilliant performance at the Gulf Games today. The Qatari capital of Doha hosts the exciting fourth edition of the tournament.
The Sultanate of Oman proudly raised its tally to 14 total medals.
Dominating Track and Field
The national athletics team won three gold medals and one silver. This confirms their strong presence and fierce competition for top positions.
Mazoon bint Khalfan Al-Alawi won gold in the long jump competition. Fatik bin Abdul Ghafour Beit Jaaboub won gold in the high jump.
Runner Ali bin Anwar Al-Balushi shone brightly in the 100-meter race. He secured the gold medal for his incredible sprinting speed.
His teammate Mulham bin Darwish Al-Balushi proudly won the silver medal.
Excelling in Fencing Competitions
Omani fencer Israa bint Saif Al-Siyabi continued her tournament brilliance. She won her second gold medal in the exciting foil competition.
Players Ahmed bin Anwar Kaskas and Al-Harith bin Salem Al-Harthi excelled too. They added two bronze medals in the intense épée competition.
Upcoming Matches and Athlete Reactions
The national volleyball team will face Bahrain tomorrow evening. Tunisian coach Nizar Al-Shakili prepared the players perfectly for this match.
Gold medalist Ali Al-Balushi expressed his tremendous happiness today. He dedicated his 100-meter victory to the Omani fans back home.
High jumper Fatih Beit Jaaboub also shared his immense joy. He called winning gold a wonderful feeling against tough competition.
