Omani Hajj Mission Announces Preparations for 1447 AH Season
The Omani Hajj Mission hosted a comprehensive press conference yesterday. Officials reviewed their massive organizational plans for the 1447 AH Hajj season.
Undersecretary Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Rashidi leads the official national mission this year.
Upgrading Digital Services
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs continuously develops its digital management systems. Their electronic registration system won the prestigious global Labitam digital service award.
The Ministry received over 42,000 Hajj applications for this upcoming season. Officials accepted exactly 14,000 pilgrims using strict, transparent eligibility criteria.
This approved group includes 13,560 Omani citizens and 440 local residents.
New Initiatives for Pilgrims
Al-Rashidi announced several exciting new initiatives to help traveling pilgrims. The new Airline Initiative successfully reduced flight ticket prices by 40 Rials.
The Ministry also improved the living conditions inside Mina and Arafat camps. Workers installed modern cooling roofs and integrated lighting for better comfort.
These massive upgrades significantly reduce negative health effects during the summer heat.
