Oman Youth Handball Team Placed in Group A for Asian Championship
The official draw for the 19th Asian Men’s Youth Indoor Handball Championship concluded today. Officials placed the Omani national team in Group A for the upcoming tournament.
A Highly Competitive Group
Chuzhou City in China will host the massive tournament this July. Many elite Asian teams will participate in this exciting international sporting event.
Group A features host nation China, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei, and Hong Kong. Group B includes Japan, South Korea, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, India, and the UAE.
The Road to the World Championship
This Asian tournament holds massive importance for all participating teams. The competition serves as a direct qualifier for the 26th Men’s Junior World Handball Championship.
North Macedonia will host that massive global event during the summer of 2027. The top four Asian teams will qualify directly for the World Championship.
Meanwhile, the Omani national youth indoor handball team continues its rigorous preparation program. The players complete daily training sessions at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat.
National coach Yahya Al-Maashari leads the dedicated team during these intense training camps.
