Official Reception Ceremony Welcomes His Majesty the Sultan in Kazakhstan

A Historic State Visit Begins

An official reception ceremony honored His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq today. The ceremony celebrated his historic state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The motorcade arrived at the majestic Independence Palace in the capital city, Astana. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev personally received the Omani monarch upon his arrival. The Kazakh President reiterated his warm welcome to the distinguished guest. He wished His Majesty and the accompanying delegation a highly successful visit. The two leaders then proceeded to greet the assembled senior officials. His Majesty shook hands with the prominent members of the Kazakh government.

President Tokayev then greeted the members of the official Omani delegation. The leaders ascended the platform of honor to observe the formal protocols. A military band played the Royal Anthem of Oman and the Kazakh National Anthem. His Majesty the Sultan then inspected the assembled military guard of honor. Following the inspection, the leaders posed for official commemorative photographs. The visit aims to build new bridges for partnership and international investment.
