The Oman Handball Association prepares to launch its exciting new sports season. The official draw ceremony for the Handball Super Cup competition takes place next Sunday. The event covers the highly anticipated 2026/2027 domestic sports season. The draw will occur at the headquarters of the Oman Handball Association. The association resides in the Olympic Committee and Sports Federations building. Four prominent local clubs will participate in the prestigious competition this year. Oman Club, Al Amerat, Nizwa, and Al Seeb will battle for the ultimate title. The draw will be conducted in an open manner to determine the first-round matches.
The Road to the Finals
The thrilling first-round matches will officially begin on November 8. The tournament concludes quickly, with the final match scheduled for November 11. The current season features a highly competitive lineup of talented local squads. Oman Club enters the tournament as the defending title holder. Al-Amerat Club joins as the former champion of the Second Division League. They also previously won the prestigious Ministry Shield competition. Nizwa and Al-Seeb clubs bring their own strong rosters to the tournament. Oman Club tops the historical list of clubs with the most competition titles.
A History of Athletic Excellence
They achieved an impressive three titles in previous seasons. They won the championship in 2017/2018, 2024/2025, and 2025/2026. Muscat Club comes in second place historically with two championship titles. They achieved their victories during the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 sports seasons.
